Oliver Willis repeatedly libels Greg Gutfeld

Media Matters fellow Oliver Willis thinks conservatives are dumb. He thinks conservatives who have questions about what happened in Benghazi last fall are especially dumb. As Twitchy reported earlier today, he even created a hashtag, #GOPBenghaziQuestions, designed to mock those who think the White House has neither fully explained nor owned up to the awful events that transpired on September 11, 2012.

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld was among those who took issue with Willis’ hashtag game:

Hey @owillis do u have any knee-slapping tweets about Sandy Hook you bumbling, irreleventgasbag?

— GregGutfeld (@greggutfeld) February 17, 2013

Hey @owillis how’s that “fellow” title working for you? Does it get u a discount on housecoats?

— GregGutfeld (@greggutfeld) February 17, 2013

What followed was one of the most dishonest Twitter diatribes we’ve seen, and that’s saying a lot.

I see I upset @greggutfeld, who apparently never got over being pantsed on the playground by some liberal

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 17, 2013

Here’s Greg Gutfeld saying child victims of gun violence don’t exist mediamatters.org/video/2012/12/… #genius

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 17, 2013

Of course, Gutfeld never said that “child victims of gun violence don’t exist,” as Willis falsely claimed.  Gutfeld’s point was that some of the “kids” who are touted as innocent victims of gun violence are in fact nearly-adult criminals who were killed as a result of their gang involvement.

Don’t take our word for it. Judge for yourself.  (Scroll ahead to 1:50.) It’s not the first time Willis has been wrong on his facts.

But Willis wasn’t done yet. First, he falsely accused Gutfeld and his Fox News colleagues of mocking the Americans who were killed in Benghazi:

No @greggutfeld the mocking of American deaths comes from u and your channel who tried to ride those deaths to a Romney win. Whoops.

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 17, 2013

Imagine the horror of waking up every morning and being the joke Greg Gutfeld is. *shudder*

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 17, 2013

Not even kooky conservatives take him seriously. He’s actually punching up by whining about little ole me.

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 17, 2013

greg gutfeld, kind of a doof bit.ly/UCo086

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 17, 2013

convo i had today w my 2 yr old cousin about diego far more insightful than anything greg gutfeld’s said or written or will say or write

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 17, 2013

Next, Willis repeated his mischaracterization of what Gutfeld said … but this time trotted out the race card for good measure:

.@greggutfeld no, but unlike u he didnt say that gun deaths of kids dont matter, esp if theyre black.

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 17, 2013

greg gutfeld’s insults are insightful as gallagher sans watermelons.

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 17, 2013

“suckbag” lol. @greggutfeld go back to making jokes about dead inner city children and i use “jokes” in the loosest sense.

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 17, 2013

i dont know who’s dumber, gutfeld or the lemmings who outsource their thinking to him. a draw, i suppose.

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 17, 2013

here’s gutfeld and crew making up hillary clinton benghazi conspiracy theories mediamatters.org/blog/2012/12/2…

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 17, 2013

and here’s greg gutfeld saying that child victims of gun violence, esp if black, are obviously in gangs mediamatters.org/video/2012/12/…

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 17, 2013

Willis must have known what he was alleging was false, but perhaps he hoped that repeating the false allegation over and over again would somehow make it seem more truthful.

.@greggutfeld you have me confused w tv hosts who use deaths of americans for cheap point scoring.

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 17, 2013

if only someone hadnt pantsed greg gutfeld on the playground, the world would have one less attention-starved troll. oh well.

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 17, 2013

verbatim quote from gutfeld fan @ me: ” ah another muslim diaperhead Soros thug” just so you know who you’re dealing with here. heh.

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 17, 2013

just my luck. i get a fox news host angry at me and he’s not even one of the ones who really matters. cmon, hannity, step it up!

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 17, 2013

some days im still amazed by the lack of independent thought on the right. so easily led along, no wonder rove thinks youre chumps.

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 17, 2013

if i didnt have a conscience, id get in the separating conservatives from their money business. so easy.

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 17, 2013

but somehow i feel its immoral to scam money out of grandmas by screaming about obama’s un agenda 21 gun grab…

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 17, 2013

imagine if the gop hadnt made complete morons about themselves on an important issue like benghazi? then i wouldnt have had any jokes 2 make

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 17, 2013

another gutfeld fan writes in: ” who gives a fuck about the blacks! not us!! let em keep shooting each other. u shut in faggot motha fuka”

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 17, 2013

Gutfeld was more than capable of defending himself:

realizing he’s a sad suckbag @owillis resorts to hiding that he mocked tragedy by shouting”Hey I have a two year old relative!” Pathetic

— GregGutfeld (@greggutfeld) February 17, 2013

God I hope @owillis gets a promotion to “senior” fellow. That means he gets free wifi in his stuffy bedsit.

— GregGutfeld (@greggutfeld) February 17, 2013

@owillisobvious ploy: called out as a sad douchebag, you frantically look for other sad douchebags to deflect your weak, cowardly life.

— GregGutfeld (@greggutfeld) February 17, 2013

Question: when @owillis applied for a job as a fellow at Media Matters, did he really think there was an office?

— GregGutfeld (@greggutfeld) February 17, 2013

how many times did @owillis condemn the right for insensitivity + now mocks the American dead?tonite Ollie’s Senior Fellowship is over.

— GregGutfeld (@greggutfeld) February 17, 2013

Hey @owillis got anything to say to the families ofBengazi dead? A joke?I bet u tell people u could standup. if u could stand up.

— GregGutfeld (@greggutfeld) February 17, 2013

I’m on a bumpy flight to jfk and I’m handing my anxiety to @owillis for mocking the Bengazi dead. Bet he’s wearing a cape and taking a bath.

— GregGutfeld (@greggutfeld) February 17, 2013

What’s the difference between @owillis and a boiler? One generates heat in a basement, and the other warms schools and factories.

— GregGutfeld (@greggutfeld) February 17, 2013

Willis was reduced to accusing Gutfeld of being obsessive, even though Willis’s tweets about Gutfeld outnumbered Gutfeld’s tweets about Willis.

dude is PAYING FOR WIFI to complain about me, LOL. how sad.

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 17, 2013

in posting this picture, i want to note that @greggutfeld is the one w the national tv show #patheticobsession twitter.com/owillis/status…

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 17, 2013

yeah im unclear what he and his lemmings think this is going to do? make me cry? from laughter, maybe! @dcplod

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 18, 2013

the right used to be good at fighting the left, now they just yell “poopyhead” and their acolytes applaud it. thanks, barack.

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 18, 2013

at least i got some twitter followers out of this fox news host freakout #winning

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 18, 2013

gutfeld fan: “are u a fag? u look like a fucking fag. I believe you are indeed a fag. A stupid, ignorant, hateful little muslim fag”

— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 18, 2013

And here’s the bottom line:

See @owillistakes stuff out of context and paint u as racist. when u call him on is mockery of american dead, he hides like a coward

— GregGutfeld (@greggutfeld) February 18, 2013

Willis mocked conservatives who, in good faith, have been asking questions about the murder of four Americans in Benghazi last September. Then, when Gutfeld objected, Willis falsely accused him of claiming “child victims of gun violence don’t exist.”  Then, as if that weren’t bad enough, Willis claimed Gutfeld’s statement revealed racial animosity toward black people.

Naturally, Eric Boehlert sided with his Media Matters colleague.

yikes. Fox host @greggutfeld spends holiday wkend obsessively tweeting about @mmfa‘s @oliverwillis; bit.ly/XiXh0F

— Eric Boehlert (@EricBoehlert) February 18, 2013

These people consider themselves arbiters of media misinformation. Utterly shameless.

9 Troubling Facts You Need To Know About American Income Inequality

Income inequality is a problem that is continually growing in this country.  Who knows if there is anything we can ever do about it, but here are some startling facts about what is going on in America when it comes to economics.

13.6% of adults 25-34 live with their parents.

70% of workers in America don’t like their current jobs.

In 2000 CEO pay became 1039 times more than the average worker.

A single member of the top one percent could buy homes for every homeless person in the U.S.

Welfare can actually pay more than minimum wage in 35 states.

39% of employers don’t let their workers take off for labor day.

The U.S is just below Russia, Ukraine and Lebanon in terms of countries with the highest income inequality.

The top 1% control nearly a quarter of the country’s income, which is the highest share since 1928.

The Canadian middle class is now richer than America’s.

Welp, that was fun!  If you worry for our country and want to leave our children with a little more than a bag of turnips, give this a share on Facebook.

Hobby Lobby granted reprieve from fines in fight against Obamacare mandate

Texas state Sen. Wendy Davis took a victory lap yesterday after (literally) standing strong nearly 11 hours Tuesday for late-term abortion, and she was lauded by politicians and celebrities alike as a hero. On the other side of the spectrum, craft store chain Hobby Lobby has been standing strong for months against the Obamacare mandate that it provide the morning after pill to its employees, facing fines running into the millions of dollars.

The 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver today ruled that Hobby Lobby can proceed with its case against the mandate without being subject to crippling fines in the meantime. The “biblically founded business” based in Oklahoma City, Okla., announced last November that it was facing a fine of $1.3 million a day for not covering Plan B, which is now available over the counter with no age restriction.

The lawsuit now heads back to U.S. District Court in Oklahoma.

Jay-Z announces ‘Made in America’ corporate-sponsored music festival

https://twitter.com/#!/jbieberboy94/status/202049373155246081

Rapper Jay-Z is way too big to join any existing Summer music festivals like Lollapalooza or Bonnaroo. If he feels like putting on a show for his die-hard fans, he’ll just start up his own festival from scratch!

Jay-Z will headline the Budweiser Made in America festival in Philadelphia this Labor Day weekend. The festival, curated by Jay-Z himself, will feature a roster of nearly 30 acts from many different genres on three stages at Fairmount Park on September 1st and 2nd.

Jay-Z knows how to stay wealthy.

— nef (@Nef_Film) May 14, 2012

I thought jay z was going to tell the world he was moving to space to a section of a planet he bought. I guess a festival is cool too.

— ɐɯnɾ ɐʇıǝʞ (@kjforshort) May 14, 2012

That Jay-Z sure does like to change the game.

— JasFly (@JasFly) May 14, 2012

Considering Jay-Z’s popularity, it’s safe to say tickets will sell out with or without other great performers. The full list of acts won’t be released until later this month, but we know the name of at least one other rapper who plans to take part in the festival…

Some dude named “Freeway” was present with Jay-Z at the official press conference, but you’re not supposed to know that! In fact, Jay-Z pushed him aside when it came time to take photographs.

Damn Freeway! He got pushed out the picture during the press conference w/ Jay Z!

— K.Foxx (@KayFoxx) May 14, 2012

Freeway's so close to the edge of the stage he's about to fall off. He doesn't own anything business casual so he couldn't take pictures.

— PJ (@pjhoody) May 14, 2012

Freeway couldn't even cop a suit.

— lil duval (@lilduval) May 14, 2012

All y'all slandering Jay for supposedly mistreating Freeway must've forgotten why you even know who Freeway is in the first place.

— Craig Jenkins (@CraigSJ) May 14, 2012

Even though Freeway has had me blocked for awhile and I never knew it until like 2 months ago, Jay-Z was still wrong for that selfish shit.

— Ralph B. (@RMB215) May 14, 2012

https://twitter.com/#!/EyMrCarter/status/202062256417144832

We agree! Poor, poor Freeway. By the way, does anyone know who the heck he even is??

Either way, Philadelphia has mixed reviews on the festival. Some people can’t wait to go. Others think it’s going to bring nothing but chaos to the city.

Jay z look goooood as shit!!! I'm gettin my tickets! Philly going b popping on labor day an that's my bday month!!!!!

— Rob's wife❤️ (@Lil_tash_28) May 14, 2012

— Alyssa (@Alys_ToHisHeart) May 14, 2012

#TRUTH RT @PhillyTheBoss So Jay-Z gonna single handed-ly kill Block Parties in Philly by having a labor day weekend festival..

— ® (@RyanRstar) May 14, 2012

I appreciate Jay-Z for picking Philly city for this first time Event…*Salutes*

— Lakshmi Tata Devi (@Passport_Vixen) May 14, 2012

Jay-Z, a vocal Occupy Wall Street supporter, has no problems with corporatized music events. An unspecified portion of ticket sales will go to local Philly charities.

‘The fix was in': Activist judge puts disqualified Rep. Conyers on primary ballot

Damn it feels good to be a Democrat.

Michigan Rep. John Conyers failed to collect enough signatures to get a spot on the primary ballot, why should that stand in his way? After Conyers appealed to secretary of state and lost, a judge brazenly overruled the secretary’s decision:

Wait … what?

Well, maybe this judge had a good reason …

Bull.

Par for the course with Democrats, we suppose, but still. This is some very shirty business.
