Emily Osment thinks Radio Shack lacks that whole service thing

http://twitter.com/#!/coachmadkins/status/214210103769964545

If Emily Osment can’t get service, what hope is there for the rest of us?

The 20 year old actress and pop singer, best known for her role alongside Miley Cyrus in “Hannah Montana,” took a trip to Radio Shack last night. Like most people who go to Radio Shack, she expected some sort of service.

Did she find it? Check out the evidence for yourself:

Radio Shack. Where you will never be serviced, ever.

— Emily Osment (@EmilyOsment) June 17, 2012

Doesn’t sound too promising. When Osment’s followers chimed in, it became quite a sad state of affairs for the electronics store.

@EmilyOsment I like that motto.. however I think their slogan recently became "radio shack, yeah.. we're still in business"

Dear Radio Shack, please heed the words of your disgruntled customers. Try and fix the service aspect of your company. Rumor is that sort of thing is important to actually making patrons want to return.

His Sons Tried to Kill Him… But He Refuses to Condemn Them

Living with your parents can be tough on a child. Working with a parent can be even tougher. But, nothing excuses Caleb and Joshua Bledsoe from what they just did: they attempted to kill their own father and burn down the house he lived in.

But, no matter what his sons did… William Bledsoe forgives them and will not see himself as a victim here.

No matter what is said, William refuses to abandon his sons.

The boys share a home and business with their father; they allegedly tried to kill him because he is hard to work and live with.

The sons set the house on fire, hoping to trap their father inside, but he made it out and was only treated for smoke inhalation.

Firefighters found home-made explosives inside of the house.

Caleb and Joshua appeared in Kittitas County Superior Court on Tuesday. They are held on $1 million bail pending possible charges.

Before all of this happened, the three ran a rain gutter company together.

William said, “My boys are my boys and I’ll never abandon them and not support them.”

Now we know what they mean by “unconditional love” of a parent. SHARE this incredible act of forgiveness with others.

Emily Miller: Aaron Alexis made no effort to buy AR-15, media ‘obsessed’

http://twitter.com/#!/ardowling61/status/380145478651748352

As Twitchy reported, the front page of Tuesday’s New York Daily News featured the (tasteless) headline, “Same Gun, Different Slay,” and trumpeted that Washington Navy Yard shooter Aaron Alexis had used the “Newtown” weapon to kill 12 people. That report turned out to be false, and tonight, the Washington Times’ Emily Miller reports that Alexis wasn’t denied the purchase of an AR-15 because he never tried to buy one.

http://twitter.com/#!/EmilyMiller/status/380110148402151424

Miller writes:

Aaron Alexis passed Federal Bureau Investigation and Virginia state background checks to purchase a shotgun from Sharpshooters Small Arms Range in Lorton, Va., over the weekend.

Alexis did not attempt to purchase a rifle or handgun from the store, The Washington Times has learned exclusively.

The retail store put the former Navy reservist’s name through both systems checks before selling him a shotgun and shotgun shells, a source familiar with the investigation said.

http://twitter.com/#!/warobertson/status/380110438975148032

Dear @CNN and @MSNBC,

How is it that @EmilyMiller always gets it right, and you boneheads always get it wrong?

You're in the hype business— Red Line℅E to the F™ (@FastEddie517) September 18, 2013

http://twitter.com/#!/EmilyMiller/status/380143565021528064

The rest of the media got the story so wrong (CNN’s Piers Morgan has been busy deleting tweets) that Miller wrote a column about the media’s obsession to connect the Navy Yard shootings to the weapon used in the Newtown massacre, the linchpin of the administration’s gun control efforts. Miller writes:

The liberal media is so obsessed with linking the Navy Yard shooter with the AR-15 rifle that it is making up false tales of Aaron Alexis trying to obtain one. The New York Times attempts to give the impression that a so-called assault weapon stopped Alexis from buying a rifle in Virginia, but that is not true.

The Times’ mistakes make it appear to be trying to give the impression only some unexplained “assault weapon” ban in the state stopped Alexis from killing more people. The truth is that we have thousands of gun laws on the books, but none of them stopped a homicidal maniac intent on mass murder.

LAS VEGAS (CBS Las Vegas) — A Las Vegas business owner with 114 employees fired 22 workers today, apparently as a direct result of President Obama’s re-election.

“David” (he asked to remain anonymous for obvious reasons) told Host Kevin Wall on 100.5 KXNT that “elections have consequences” and that “at the end of the day, I need to survive.”

Of course it is. Unlike the caricatures of business owners that the Left have in their heads, business owners care. They aren’t maniacally laughing and twirling old-timey villain mustaches as they lay people off. They are devastated and heartbroken that they have to do so.

Elections have consequences. And the consequences are dire.

Our thoughts and prayers are with these hard-working small business owners, who are the backbone of this nation, and their employees who will now join the growing ranks of the unemployed.

Adam Baldwin, others give ‘Islamaphobia’-crying ‘comedian’ a humor lesson

http://twitter.com/#!/keithrconrad/status/286649814421225473

Actor Adam Baldwin is a fierce happy warrior. He, and others, took moral relativism (and perpetual grievance-mongers) to task last night. An alleged comedian on Twitter had his unfunny briefs in a twist over the hilarious #CurrentAlJazeeraShowPitches hashtag, which started after it was reported that Al Gore’s floundering Current TV was to sold to Al-Jazeera.

With news report today that Al Jazeera on verge of buying Current TV, how long till peeps on right starting calling it a stealth “TV jihad”

Yuk, yuk, yuk! Wow, Bill Maher level humor! Also, spelling is hard: Islamaphobia? Dude, when attempting to shriek some sort of insult at people, at least get the term right. Then the alleged comedian bashed Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser.

Will Carney correct absurd claim that Calif. O-care site got 10K hits a second?

http://twitter.com/#!/64Whiskey/status/385617718822449154

That incredible traffic the California Obamacare exchange website received on day one? Yeah, not so much.

http://twitter.com/#!/MaeveReston/status/385571855714627584

5 million … 645,000 … easy mistake to make. A spokesman for Covered California explained, “Someone misspoke and thought it was indeed 5 million hits. That was incorrect.”

Someone also “misspoke” on the marketplace’s Twitter feed.

http://twitter.com/#!/CoveredCA/status/385188647768576000

Those tweets have not been deleted and Covered California has not tweeted a correction.

Check out the absurdly inflated number gleefully promoted by Senior White House communications adviser Tara McGuinness and her two exclamation points:

http://twitter.com/#!/HealthCareTara/status/385131687731920897

Press secretary Jay Carney also tried selling that number when he retweeted McGuinness .

A screenshot to remember Carney’s retweet by:

Wow! Obamacare really is popular in California! Or not:

http://twitter.com/#!/JohnTMadden/status/385359760003854337

As it turns out, traffic peaked at 16,000 hits per minute (if the revised numbers are to be believed). Fascinating that McGuinness, a former Center for American Progress exec, didn’t retweet that information.

While we wait for her to issue a correction (and we’re not holding our breath), let’s hear from CBS’ Jan Crawford about what led to “glitches” when the marketplaces rolled out:

“High demand”?

Obama admin claims less than 500K have yet to replace canceled policies

http://twitter.com/#!/msbinnyc/status/414070941673484288

According to this article by AP, the Obama Administration is insisting that less than half a million people whose health insurance was canceled because of Obamacare have not found other health insurance coverage.

http://twitter.com/#!/KellySKennedy/status/413816508335132672

If 500,000 formerly insured people are now uninsured because of Obamacare, that is bad enough.

http://twitter.com/#!/RoyBlunt/status/414042708601081856

But it may be worse — possibly much worse — than that.

An estimated 4 to 5 million Americans have received cancellation notices, whereas it appears that fewer than a million have  signed up for Obamacare so far — and many of those freshly-minted “enrollees” have not paid premiums or been officially confirmed by an insurer. Some of those who received cancellation letters were able to stay in their current plan for another year, and many have chosen to do so. But whether that brings the number of new uninsured all the way down to 500,000 remains very unclear.
